I just purchased a pdf pattern. Now what?
Good question, there is a little bit of mystery to it! Here’s how it works: after your purchase, you will get an email confirming your purchase and containing links to your pattern. If you don’t receive the email in a reasonable amount of time, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll help you figure it out. Chances are, it’s hanging out in your junk (spam) folder or maybe an incorrect email was given.
Once you get your email, click the link or links to download the pattern and save it to your computer. Open the pattern in Adobe Reader before you print it out. If you don’t have Adobe Reader, you can get it here at no cost. Do Not print the pattern from your browser reader, (especially the pattern piece sheets), it can cause sizing errors. The only reader I have found consistent in sizing is Adobe Reader.
Are all of your patterns pdf downloads or do you have some in a paper version?
A little of both! If there isn’t an option called “paper pattern” on the products listing, then I just haven’t gotten around to it yet! If you can’t purchase a pattern because you don’t have a home printer, don’t let that stop you! You can have pdf patterns printed out at your local print store like Kinkos or Staples.
Are seam allowances included on the pattern pieces?
Do you provide pattern pieces for ever part of the pattern or are some pieces to be measured out and cut using dimensions?
Out of love for the trees, my pattern have both types of pattern pieces. For pieces that are simple rectangles, I provide dimensions to measure and trace onto your fabric. All other pieces have a pattern template. If you plan to make a pattern over and over, you can easily use the dimensions to make your own pattern pieces out of cardstock (I like to use cereal boxes) or template plastic.
May I make your designs and sell them at craft fairs and online?
Yes! I love helping other small businesses and am excited to know my designs are going toward that effort! Here is my copyright policy:
This pattern may be used to create items for resale in small quantities. Credit to Cozy Nest Design must appear prominently on online listings. No portion of this pattern may be distributed mechanically, electronically, or by any other method for commercial or personal use.
What is your return policy?
Patterns: all sales are final.
Seat Belt Webbing products: I do want you to be happy with the colors of seat belt webbing that you select and often it is hard to tell on a computer screen what they really look like. If you are unsure about color combinations, please order swatches before ordering a kit. I am happy to exchange webbing up to 30 days after purchase as long as it is unused and in new condition. All shipping expenses for the exchange will be paid by you. Once the unwanted webbing is received, I will invoice you the amount for shipping the replacement webbing and will send it on along once payment is received.
