      Hi Linda,
Thanks so much for buying Belinda, I hope you enjoy making it. Yes, I see that the transaction is compete and ready for you but I am not sure why it isn’t in your account. Were you sent the download links? Is so, maybe in your spam folder? Let me see what else I can see from my end and if worse comes to worse, I can always email the file to you. Sarah

Linda, I reissued the download links and you should be sent another email to the msn email. Please let me know if you get this copy and if they contain the links. In terms of you account here on my website, is it possible you have more than one. This happened the other day when someone couldn’t find their pattern – she had set up two accounts on Etsy and had bought with one and was looking in another. Just a thought. Let me know if you get the new email. sarah

Hi! I\’m looking at the color options for the Market Tote, and 2 of the colors I am interested in (Otter Brown and Pumpkin) are not listed in the dropdown of colors. Does this mean they are discontinued? I love the Beautiful Beige/Otter Brown/Pumpkin combo. Thanks

Hi Carmen, yes, unfortunately, Otter Brown and Beautiful Beige are sold out and I can’t reorder them. In this I really am at the mercy of the automotive industry and take whatever they produce and don’t use – so colors come and go! I don’t have anything very comparable to Pumpkin. However, if you are interested in an autumn sort of palate, Spice is just beautiful and would go great with Beautiful Beige and Chocolate. If you would like me to snap a picture of these together or would like samples, let me know. sarah

You can buy the 2″ rings for the seat belt market totes here: https://www.cozynestdesign.com/product/2-metal-rings/

I am working on listing tassel hardware as well but it will be another day or so.

      Hi Mavis,
Thanks for contacting me. By your description of how she wants the bag to look it sounds like you could order the kit here: https://www.cozynestdesign.com/product/markettotekit/
This would be the easiest way because it comes with the 2″ ring but it would also mean that the handles and flap would also need to be in black.

If you wanted to buy everything separate so that you could customize each element as you wish, then you should refer to the supply list at the bottom of the pattern listing here: https://www.cozynestdesign.com/product/markettotepattern/ to see how much of each color you would need for each element.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Sarah

Suggestions on zipper suppliers for purse zippers? Make Market Tote, the Duo, and the Tri-fold Wallet in your Seat Belt series… wow. They were a hit with my daughter and any one who has seen them. Thank you for a great design and clear construction steps. No mis-sewn seams, no seam ripper needed. Just ordered more seat belting… can’t wait to get. Having an issue getting zippers to match however.

      Hi Suzanne!
Thanks for contacting me. Yes, I got your new order and it is on its way; you will be very busy!
I have ordered zippers from a number or places. Two of my favorite are sellers on Etsy (see links below) because they have colors that are close to some of the webbing colors I have. Both places are quick shippers and I think the prices are good. I order in bulk so that helps keep costs down as well. I hope that helps.
Thanks for your kind words. I am happy to know you are enjoying your projects! Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you, Sarah

I am sorry I am just now seeing that you posted a question though my website. I hope you received my direct email to you a few days ago. The tassel hardware can be purchased with the kit and the option should pop up when you go through the ordering process. I appreciate the question because it makes me aware that I need to be more clear about this in the description. Thanks so much for supporting my business! sarah

Sarah, I have a request to make your Market Tote for a friend. She wants it with 4 colors, one of them being the \”Beautiful Beige\” which is apparently sold out. Will you be replacing that color with a similar one (preferably a 7 panel one)? If so, please send me a sample. Thank you.

      Hey Betty,
Great hearing from you! I have a few remnant pieces of Beautiful Beige that might work for you. If you can give me an idea of what lengths you need I can see what I can dig up (beautiful beige is only 4 panels). If I don’t have what you need, there is Honey Beige which is the closest thing I may have for awhile. It does have more brown in it than the Beautiful Beige and it only has 5 panels. Let me know about the Beautiful Beige and we’ll go from there.

    Hi Sarah,
Is the seat belt fabric hard to sew on? Do you know if you could monogram or embroidery on it?
Would there be enough material in a kit to practice on an embroidery design?. I was looking at the Market Tote and would like to embroidery it and maybe the cosmetic bag or zipper pouch

      Hi Laura,
Thanks for getting in touch. I think you will find the seat belts very easy to sew through. I have never had anyone say they were unable to. You can embroider on it. I don’t have a machine myself but have had customers do it and they have some tips I can give you. You can see some sample here in the gallery (you will need to scroll down a way): https://www.cozynestdesign.com/seat-belt-series-gallery/

The kit comes with a little extra but probably not enough to really seriously experiment with. If you don’t mind random colors I would be happy to send you some remnants to work on. When you are ready to order, just email me and remind me to send some in your order. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Sarah

      Hi Nancy,
I apologize for my delayed response. It sounds like you are quite the designer yourself! I haven’t done a men’s wallet so I have nothing to really offer you in that regard. I would think you could purchase a men’s pattern and use it to create the interior and then do the exterior similar to the way my wallet pattern is don (where the webbing is first stitched to a background fabric). The only sticking point would be how to finish the ends of the webbing off but you might use binding it with fabric or some other type of non-fray webbing. I am excited to see what you come up with!

      Karen,
Thanks for contacting me. You may not be able to get the zipper perfectly flat especially if you are using heavier weight zippers. You should strive to get the fabric under the crossed-over zipper as flat as possible though. I would suggest doing one corner and seeing how it goes. Once you do one, I think you will see how you can minimize the bump in the zipper. Remember also that you will be covering the zipper tape with ribbon so it will assist in covering this area if it isn’t perfect. Hope that helps!

Hi there, I have a few questions. If I purchase your pattern for the fabric stair basket how can a do a sew along at this point? Do you then provide a link to a video? Also how does the pdf pattern differ from the printed ones…in other words how will I print out the pdf pattern if my printer only does 8.5 x 11” paper? Can I do this with a regular home sewing machine? Sorry for so many questions.

      January 25, 2020 at 8:24 am

      HI Barbara,
Thanks for getting in touch. I apologize for the delay in my response. The sew along for the stair baskets can be found on my blog. It goes through all the steps with photos.
In terms of a pdf vs. printed patterns. If you purchase a pdf, you click a link that you receive in an email and then print the pattern at home. In the even there are pattern (or template) pieces that are larger than standard paper, they are tiled and you tape them together. For the stair basket pattern, all the pieces are rectangles and so no actual pattern pieces are necessary, the pieces are cut using dimensions.
About a regular sewing machine. Yes, all my patterns are designed to use a regular home sewing machine (even the seat belt designs). The exterior of the stair basket is just fabric. The interior of the basket is a frame made from plastic canvas (be sure to confirm you can find this item if you live outside the US). You don’t sew the plastic frame on a machine, instead you can use yarn or cable ties.
      Hope that helps!
